Sara and Brett – Turner Hall Ballroom Milwaukee Wedding

We fell in love with Sara and Brett the first time we met them. Sara is gorgeous with a great sense of style as well as intelligent and driven. This girl deserves a standing ovation for graduating with her DDS just a few short weeks before her wedding. Seriously, Sara can do anything. And Brett is just too easy to fall for. Handsome, funny, laid-back, and a firefighter. Yep. A firefighter. Sigh. Together, they are just the best; easy going, romantic, sweet. We have been excited for their wedding for over a year and we felt like it was Christmas when the day finally arrived. Yes, the wedding was stunning, but we were just beyond excited to spend the day with them and their families.

And let me tell you, nothing about this day disappointed. From their amazing friends and families, to Sara’s stunning dress, the fabulous Turner Hall Ballroom, and everything in between. Days like this are why we do what we do.

I have to give a shoutout to a few of Sara’s amazing vendors. Turner Hall was not only a stunning location, but the staff were just fabulous to work with from beginning to end. Seriously, I could shoot there every week and be happy! I also have to mention Mayflowers, who simply outdid themselves with Sara’s gorgeous florals. My jaw was on the ground most of the day in awe – the centerpieces, bouquets, the stunning floral table runner on the main table… omg. To die for.

Chris and Lexi – Chicago Navy Pier Proposal Photographer

Last weekend, Chris and Lexi came to Chicago for a weekend getaway. They thought they’d see some friends, see the sights, and enjoy the city. But Lexi couldn’t understand why Chris wanted to go out for a nice dinner their first night here, or why he was so willing to get dressed up, or why he wanted to go to Navy Pier right away. She was ready to relax and enjoy some Chicago pizza, but no, not Chris. In fact, Chris had been acting funny all day.

Hindsight, as they say, is 20/20. And when Chris got down on one knee and pulled that little box out of his pocket, suddenly everything made sense. Chris asked, and Lexi said yes, and everything was Perfect.

Kamran and I were so honored to capture Chris’s proposal to Lexi at Navy Pier during their visit to Chicago! We had such a great time hearing their story and getting to know them, and we just know that you are going to Love their images.

Paul and Silvia – Milwaukee Wedding Photographer

Today’s post is very close to my heart. Paul is the oldest of all of my cousins, and when my brothers and I were growing up, we all looked up to him. When he met Silvia, she encouraged him to step out of his comfort zone – teaching him to dance, encouraging his musical ambitions, and helping him be a better person. We’re so happy to welcome Silvia to our family!

Lizz and Matt – Chicago Wedding Photographer

Lizz is the kind of woman who surprises you. Serene and calm, she is sweet and thoughtful, and doesn’t seem to let much phase her. She is great at planning and problem solving, and is not afraid to lead when needed. But just when you start to fall for this sweetheart, you will fall head over heels when you see her let it all go. As much as she plans and thinks, Lizz lets go and enjoys – laughing with her whole self, dancing with her whole heart, and loving with her whole soul. She and Matt seem like a perfect pair – nice, thoughtful, enjoying the best part of life while caring for the more difficult ones. They are beautiful together, and we could not be happier for them.

We are so excited to share Emily and Fritz’s classic Chicago Wedding at the Chicago History Museum with you today! Katie and Jon – Romantic Chicago Wedding

We knew that Katie and Jon were special when we got together for their engagement session. That day started out rainy and gloomy, and these two were so cheerful and easy-going that, in the end, we were actually happy it rained. That’s just how these two are together – easy and perfect. They are two kind and gentle souls that just make everybody around them better. They really do deserve every happiness in the world.

And then, as if that weren’t enough, Katie pulled out the best wedding dance ever. I didn’t think I could love them any more than I already did, but I was wrong. Katie’s choreographed lip-sync of ”You Make My Dreams Come True” to Jon was, by far, one of the best things I have ever seen. Ever. If you haven’t seen it yet, you must go watch it.

Seriously, you two, you are the best. Thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of your wedding day! We couldn’t be happier for you!

Learning New Tricks – Chicago Fashion Photographer

Kam and I love learning new things, and so when the opportunity came up to learn some exciting fashion photography and lighting techniques from the amazing Lindsay Adler, we jumped. We had so much fun shooting and learning, and now are eager to shoot more in the studio! Jane and Erin rocked it out on set – so much fun to shoot with!

And can we just say how much we loooved the gorgeous styling? Rachel Frank, one of the most talented women in the world, provided her own designs for the models to wear, as well as their hair and makeup. I mean, really? This girl has more talent in her pinky finger than I could ever dream of having! I can’t wait to see what she does!
